Notebook launches fund drive to hire a new reporter

The first $20,000 donated will be matched by a supporter.

This article was originally published in The Notebook. In August 2020, The Notebook became Chalkbeat Philadelphia.

Strong reporting is at the center of the Notebook’s mission. It is the instrument that we use to engage our audience and provide in-depth information that can inspire and drive change. With the increasing importance of our 24-7 web operation, and the downsizing of traditional media operations in the city, we need to invest in our reporting staff.

We are thrilled to announce that we have received a matching gift to launch a June fundraising campaign to help us hire a new staff reporter. Every dollar donated through June 30 will be matched up to $20,000!

In addition, the first 50 people to renew their Notebook membership or sign up as new members will receive a pair of tickets to the Franklin Institute. Donate online today to help us cover more of the education stories you care about.

Thank you for your support!
