Have a question for the SRC? Come ask it tonight at 440 at 6pm. I’ll be moderating. You can also ask via live stream. pic.twitter.com/rV9IhmcQ99 — Kevin McCorry (@byKevinMcCorry) June 1, 2015

The School Reform Commission, in a rare gesture of openness, will be holding a town hall-style meeting today between 6 and 8 p.m. WHYY’s education reporter Kevin McCorry will moderate the Q&A session. Your questions for the commissioners can be sent to SRC@philasd.org.

Since Marjorie Neff’s appointment to the chair position by Gov. Wolf, the SRC has responded to charges that public meetings are set up in a way that squelches the community’s input and engagement in School District policy. First, access to monthly voting items was improved, and now, the commission is opening itself to questions from the public.

The meeting, held at the District’s headquarters, will be streamed live and can also be seen on Comcast channel 52.
