New District blueprint all about equity, Hite says

On Thursday’s Radio Times, Superintendent William Hite was asked to sum up his newest blueprint for the School District as a bumper sticker slogan. He indulged host Marty Moss-Coane, answering, Action Plan 3.0: "This is all about equity."

Now in his third year as superintendent, Hite finds himself in a different situation. With new budget proposals from a new governor and a departing mayor setting out a healthier financial outlook for Philadelphia schools, Hite could be much closer to creating the kind of educational system he envisions. Listen as he lays out his vision for the District, which he said focuses on how to apply scarce resources effectively across all schools.
