Tonight’s regularly scheduled School Reform Commission meeting has been canceled.

When asked, the District did not immediately give a reason for the cancellation of its monthly "strategies, policy and priorities" meeting. The next scheduled SRC meeting, an action meeting, will take place on Oct. 16.

Update: A spokesperson for the District said that the meeting was canceled because the format for the meetings is being revamped.

The SRC meets twice a month for an action meeting and a strategy, policy, and priority meeting. Action meetings of the SRC are for general purposes and are normally held monthly at 5:30 p.m. Public testimony is invited but requires advance registration by calling 215-400-4180 no later than 4:30 p.m. the day before the meeting.

Strategy, policy, and priority meetings are normally held monthly at 6 p.m. No registration is necessary to speak at these meetings, which typically focus on a specific topic. All meetings are held in the auditorium at District headquarters.
