Special election in May to fill Green’s old Council seat

There will be a special Philadelphia City Council election in May to fill Bill Green’s now-vacant seat.

Council President Darrell Clarke says the special election will be held May 20, the same day that voters pick party candidates in the primary. It will fill the two-year unexpired term of Green, who left to run the School Reform Commission.
