Philadelphia High School Fair starts today

The annual Philadelphia High School Fair starts today at the Armory at Drexel University on North 33rd Street, between Market and Cuthbert Streets.

Thousands of students and their parents are expected to visit the expo, which is presented by Great Philly Schools, in partnership with the School District of Philadelphia. The fair is designed for 7th and 8th graders, as well as high school students looking to transfer schools.

The expo runs today from 3 to 7 p.m. and tomorrow from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. It will give students a chance to obtain detailed information about their high school options. Students and their families will also have the opportunity to learn about academic and special programs, extracurricular activities, admissions criteria, and how to apply to schools. District schools, as well as some charter and private schools, will be represented at the fair.

The Notebook will have a table at the expo and will hand out copies of its annual Fall Guide to High Schools. The guide contains information about the city’s 90 public high school options and includes a chart that helps readers compare schools. Look for our booth inside the armory. Staff and volunteers will be wearing bright Notebook T-shirts and handing out copies of the guide.
