WATCH: SRC meeting on universal enrollment

The School Reform Commission’s public strategy meeting tonight will focus on universal enrollment and the pros and cons of using a unified system for the city’s public, charter, and parochial schools.

The meeting, which should last about two hours, begins at 6 p.m. Live stream viewers should take note that although the meeting will begin with a presentation and have opening and closing remarks, most of the meeting will take place as roundtable discussions. That portion of the meeting won’t make for the most comprehensible viewing.

For those wishing to get up to speed on the topic, the District has posted on its website links to background reading materials culled from various sources (including three articles from the Notebook, reports by Research for Action, Pew, and Education Law Center, and briefs by Education Voters PA.)
