Listen to Ben Herold discuss cheating investigation on Radio Times

This article was originally published in The Notebook. In August 2020, The Notebook became Chalkbeat Philadelphia.

Newsworks and Notebook reporter Benjamin Herold will discuss the ongoing investigation into possible cheating on standardized tests in Philadelphia on WHYY-FM’s Radio Times Tuesday morning.

Herold has been working with Contributing Editor Dale Mezzacappa on the story for a year and recently unearthed documents and other evidence indicating that cheating may have been more widespread than previously thought. Test scores this year in city schools have declined, and in most schools under investigation they dropped significantly.

Herold will appear from 10:40 to 11 a.m. during the first hour of the show with Marty Moss-Coane.
