Spread the word: The Notebook is hiring. We’re looking this month for a full-time advertising sales and business manager to join the talented staff of our award-winning news organization.

This is a critical position in our organization.

Like other news organizations (both nonprofit and for-profit), the Notebook has to wrestle with how we generate the revenue needed to support the skilled and time-consuming work of investigative reporting. Our new advertising sales and business manager is going to be key to our success in the work of generating sustainable revenue streams for the Notebook‘s nonprofit journalism work.

This is a great opportunity for an energetic and organized individual with a proven track record of generating revenue. As the Notebook diversifies its publishing – print, web, and email – we have new openings to ratchet up our income. We want to take advantage of those. Ideally, the candidate would have done advertising sales, but we encourage individuals to apply who have demonstrated their talents in other sales or fundraising.
