Fox29 broadcast a report that Superintendent Arlene Ackerman owes the IRS more than $20,000 in taxes dating to 2007 and has placed a lien on her Center City condo. The IRS filed the action against her in February. The Inquirer picked up the report.
The School District issued a statement saying the matter had been "resolved" and had to do with "a change in tax reporting" by the San Fransisco school district, where she was superintendent. She left SF at loggerheads with the board of education there.
