Former Philadelphia CEO Paul Vallas was named Tuesday night to be interim superintendent in the troubled urban district in Connecticut’s largest city. The story by Connecticut Post reporter Linda Lambeck says that Vallas has ties to the state’s new commissioner of education, Stephan Pryor and doesn’t plan on keeping the job permanently.
