Tonight: Happy hour with the Notebook

This article was originally published in The Notebook. In August 2020, The Notebook became Chalkbeat Philadelphia.

We look forward to catching up with friends old and new!

Traditions and friends are part of what make this time of year great. Please join the Notebook for a happy hour on Wednesday, November 30 from 5-7:30 p.m. and help us create our own new tradition.

We will celebrate the release of our December edition and reflect on the year of stories about education in Philly. We’re hoping that this happy hour will be a great way to meet our readers, connect with our supporters, and make new friends all in a low-key, inexpensive way – and have fun while doing so.

Please RSVP so we can get a rough sense of how many people to expect. Raffle and drink special for members of the Notebook.

Tell your co-workers and friends! Bring your co-workers and friends! Meet a nice stranger on the El on your way to the happy hour and bring them too!

Join the Notebook community to discussion recent education news at the National Mechanics bar on 3rd Street between Market and Chestnut. What a great way to reflect, chat, catch-up, debrief, and unwind all while enjoying our favorite holiday-season drinks.

If all goes well, we’re aiming to have a happy hour to celebrate the publication of each edition of the Notebook from now on! Come out and help us begin a new tradition at the Notebook – it’s what this time of year is all about.

See you next week!
