The talented students of Beeber Middle School are proud to announce their 10th annual Poetry Café Extravaganza. The students work with Notebook blogger and teacher Samuel Reed. Beginning August 19, slam poet Lamont "Napalm" Dixon will conduct poetry workshops at the Wynnefield Branch of the Free Library of Philadelphia.

With the support of ArtsRising, a youth initiative organization funded by the Philadelphia Education Fund, Public Citizens for Children and Youth, and Fleisher Art Memorial, Beeber students take their passion for art out into the community, where artists of all ages and talents are invited to join their celebration.

On August 27, a final showcase and contest will be held at the Village Coffee House @ 63rd (2035 N. 63rd Street between Woodbine and City Ave). Come out and help support the arts with Beeber Middle School and ArtsRising!
