Congratulations to the winner in our drawing for a $500 IKEA gift card: Tangela McClam, who teaches 7th and 8th grade math at Walter G. Smith Elementary in South Philadelphia.
McClam, who has taught since 2000 and is working on her principal certification, picks up the Notebook at school and occasionally checks out the website. “I think it’s a wonderful resource,” she said, pointing to recent coverage of the dropout problem and the issue of students who are pushed out of school.
